Cut Off motorcyclist killed in Lafourche Parish crash

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Cut Off motorcyclist is dead following a crash that occurred in Lafourche Parish on Thursday, Jan 16.
According to the Louisiana State Police, troopers with Troop C began investigating the crash, which happened on Louisiana Highway 308 near Emile Drive, shortly after 4 p.m.
Two arrested in nearly 6-month long drug investigation
The initial investigation shows that 68-year-old Raymond Guidry, of Cut Off, was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle south on Highway 308 when, for unknown reasons, he exited the roadway to the right while going through a left curve, and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Guidry was wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
Standard toxicology samples were taken from him as part of the ongoing investigation.
