Temperatures soared into the 40s today with a strong southwest wind and an abundance of sunshine. A cold front is on the way later tonight and temperatures should drop into the 20s and eventually the teens after midnight tonight. A few sprinkles or flurries will be possible along the front. A true arctic outbreak is on the way this weekend and into early next week. We may reach 20 early on Saturday before temperatures drop in the afternoon. Temperatures bottom out near zero Sunday morning with highs only in the single digits. Everyone falls below zero by Monday morning, with wind chills near -30. The bitter cold holds strong until Thursday. This can be dangerously cold so please limit your time outdoors starting Sunday.
