MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Memphis Police are looking for two masked suspects who have been terrorizing a Cooper-Young business.
Thursday night, Memphis Police officers swarmed the area of Evelyn Avenue and South Cooper Street just before 8 p.m. They say Daily Market was robbed and the suspects got away.
According to a Memphis police report, the armed suspect jumped the counter at a nearby business and demanded money from an employee while another suspect stood at the door as a lookout.
They got away with cash, cigarettes, and a cell phone. No one was injured.

"I thought this could not be. It just happened a few weeks ago," said Pam Roberts, a concerned neighbor.
Michelle Brown, another neighbor who lives near the scene, says as she was getting ready for bed she noticed something very suspicious.

"Then I heard someone run through my backyard. So, naturally, I went down to the floor and hid because my blinds were open," Brown said.
But this isn;'t the first time the store has been targeted. Surveillance video shared by MPD shows one of two robberies from back in December.
"I think that somebody in this area is doing this because they just disappear like smoke," Roberts said.
Police say thieves robbed the business the same way at least three times.
"They're young. I've seen them go towards the store on the way to the robbery," Brown said.
People living in the close-knit community say these robberies are an unfortunate example of growing crime in the Cooper-Young area.

"There's lots of foot traffic around here and there's money being exchanged with all of these businesses with the people coming and going," Roberts said. "We love it here, but we don't like seeing what's happening."
