Man sentenced to prison after admitting to Parkway Village murder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man who pleaded guilty to a deadly shooting outside of a Parkway Village grocery store back in 2022 has now been sentenced to prison.
Landon Quinton, 23, was sentenced to 23 years in prison without the possibility of parole. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

On January 2022, Memphis Police say Quinton and another man walked up to two people outside of the Z Market on South Perkins Road.
The man with Quinton is accused of pistol-whipping one of the victims before taking his cash, cellphone, an car keys. Quinton then shot the second victim.
One killed during robbery in Parkway Village
The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly afterward, Quinton was found on Cottonwood where he grabbed a handgun out of his pocket and threw it into a yard. He was taken into custody after a foot pursuit.
