MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) - An elderly man who was reported missing on Thursday night was quickly found after officials used drone searches to locate him. According to a release from the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, a man was reported missing on Carney Avenue in Marinette around 8:03 p.m. on Thursday. Two Appleton men rescued after drifting 2 miles from shore on chunk of ice in Door County City of Marinette Police officers and deputies from the Marinette County Sheriff's Office drone unit responded to search in the man's last known area. Deputies deployed the drone, and its thermal capabilities revealed a 'hot spot' in an area west of his last known location. The elderly man was quickly found and reunited with family members safely.
