FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOW0) — WOWO News has learned that an additional 15-thousand dollar grant has been awarded to The Fort Wayne Fire Department for the purchase of nine Automatic External Defribrillators or AED’s.
The Fire Department will place the AED’s with full-time personnel including code inspectors, safety educators, and fire/arson investigators.
Chief Eric Lahey says the goal is to eventually have all Fort Wayne Fire Department Employee vehicles equipped with AED’s.
