(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Thursday, Jan. 16, FOX21 News was invited to meet the newest member of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
A Hoffmann's two-toed sloth was born on Dec. 18 to mom Aysan, the baby and mom have been bonding since. During the first month, CMZoo said the baby loves to spend time on his mother's tummy and has been interested in eating new foods.

"It is starting to try and taste food out of mom's mouth. Aysan's not the biggest fan of that but she like any mom is being very gracious to that fact," said Amber Callen-Ward, lead keeper of Scutes Family Gallery.
Zookeepers have not chosen a name for the baby yet, but after they get to spend more time with the newborn they'll pick a name.
