BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh is in Washington DC for the annual United States Conference of Mayors. Goh and other U.S. mayors are in the capital to meet with federal officials and members of Congress on "the most pressing issues of the day." Pet of the Week: Nico On Friday, Goh and other California mayors met with Sens. Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff. The group met and discussed homeowners insurance, housing affordability, homelessness and disaster resilient infrastructure, according to a statement from Sen. Schiff's office. President Joe Biden addressed the conference on Friday morning. The U.S. Conference of Mayors takes place through Jan. 19.
