RPD: Around 40 cars broken into throughout the City of Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Police are investigating multiple vehicle break-ins throughout the City of Rochester.
A News 8 crew was sent to Cypress Street and found some cars with broken windows. The Rochester Police Department confirmed around 40 cars were broken into in the southeast area of the city.
The investigation also uncovered a stolen white Kia that may be connected to these break-ins. It was found abandoned on Seward Street.
Officers are following up on multiple leads. Anyone whose car has been damaged or has any information is encouraged to call 911.
