Payment assistance and emergency repairs are available for Coloradans who need help heating their homes as a weekend of frigid winter weather looms.

Nonprofit aid organization Energy Outreach Colorado urges people facing utility disconnection to call 1-866-432-8435 for help paying bills. Households benefiting from Colorado’s Low-Income Energy Assistance Program can also call 1-855-469-4328 for heating system repairs.
“No Colorado family should have to choose between staying warm and meeting other basic needs, especially during dangerous cold snaps,” Energy Outreach Colorado CEO Jennifer Gremmert said in a news release. “We want everyone to know that help is available — whether you’re facing a utility disconnection or dealing with a failed heating system in sub-zero temperatures.”
