(KRON) — A preliminary 2.8-magnitude earthquake struck in East San Jose just after midnight Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was 6 miles east of the Alum Rock district of San Jose. The minor quake occurred at 12:16 a.m., USGS said. People in San Jose reported feeling light shaking, according to USGS’s “Did You Feel It?” survey.
