St. Patrick's Committee of Holyoke hosts reception honoring 72nd Grand Marshal

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The St. Patrick's Committee of Holyoke will be hosting a reception at the log cabin in honor of the 72nd Grand Marshal, James Lavelle.
Actress Bridget Moynahan named 2025 JFK Award recipient by St. Patrick’s Committee of Holyoke
Lavelle is the General Manager of Holyoke Gas & Electric, and is being honored as Grand Marshal for his leadership and dedication to the Holyoke community. He is a graduate of Holyoke High School and the University of Massachusetts, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration, according to the St. Patrick's Committee of Holyoke.
Lavelle serves on boards of several professional associations, such as Director of the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company, Municipal Electric Association of Massachusetts, Northeast Public Power Association, PeoplesBank, Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, and as Director and President of the Holyoke Solar Cooperative and Massachusetts Clean Energy Cooperative.
He also served as a Trustee for Holyoke Community College, on the Finance Committee of St. Jerome Parish, the Board for the Greater Holyoke YMCA, as well as coach for Holyoke Youth Football and Holyoke YMCA Basketball.

The 48th Holyoke St. Patrick’s Road Race will be held on Saturday, March 22. The 72nd Holyoke St. Patrick's parade will be held on Sunday, March 23rd. You can watch the parade right here on 22News.
