NOPD to announce winter weather impact plan

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is preparing the city for the upcoming winter weather impacts.
NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick is expected to release details of the department's plan for the impact on traffic from the drop in temperatures expected to start the week of Jan. 20.
Joining Kirkpatrick is Special Events Division Lt. Anthony Micheu.
Snow, freezing rain possible across southern Louisiana, Mississippi next week
WGNO meteorologists have alerted the public of the cold front set to move across parts of Louisiana bringing with it temperatures ranging from the 20s to 40s on both the North and South shore.
The drop may lead to the possibility of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
