Coroner identifies woman found shot to death in Lexington motel

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn has identified the victim in a fatal shooting at a Lexington motel.
Ginn’s office says 27-year-old Helen Taylor, of Lexington, died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Taylor’s body was found by police Thursday, after they were called to the 1100 block of Winchester Road. That’s the location of the Sportsman Motel.
Officers were sent to the area around 11:19 a.m. for a report of unknown trouble. When they got there, they found an unresponsive female victim. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office pronounced the woman deceased at the scene and determined she had been shot.
Right now, Lexington Police are investigating and have not given any indication of a possible suspect in the case.
