Haskins Sr. named new Bryan Station head football coach

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Bryan Station football has a new leader after former Defenders Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator, JT Haskins Sr., was elevated to Head Coach on Friday.
Haskins Sr. takes over at his alma mater after former boss Phil Hawkins took the open Henry Clay football head coaching role.
As a 2000 Station graduate, Haskins Sr. captained the 1999 state runner up team, went on to play for Louisville in college and then professionally for the Lexington Horsemen Arena Football team.
He has two sons who are also a part of the Defender family.
JT Haskins Jr. played for Bryan Station and is in his first year of college at Ohio University where he plays football. His younger brother, Jordan, is a sophomore on the Station football team.
A press conference to introduce Haskins Sr. will be held next week. A date, time and location are to be announced.
