IMPD: 2 Illinois residents arrested after chase following Burger King robbery

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two Illinois residents were arrested after a reported robbery of a Burger King led to a multi-jurisdiction vehicle chase on Thursday morning.
According to a post on social media from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers from the department's north district responded to a robbery at the Burger King located in the 7600 block of Shadeland Ave. at around 10:39 a.m. on Thursday.
The post read that 911 callers and witnesses told officers that a masked suspect jumped over the restaurant's counter and robbed employees at gunpoint before the suspect left with cash. The suspect then left the scene in a black Chevrolet sedan.
According to court documents, employees at the Burger King told police that a suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Cameron Love, was "briefly pacing back and forth... then suddenly jumped over the counter and pulled out a black handgun." Love reportedly said "give me the money, don't make me kill you" to the employees. Around $459 was taken from the restaurant.

After the reported robbery, an officer with the north district spotted a vehicle matching the sedan's description driving westbound on East 86th Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the sedan reportedly refused to stop.
IMPD officers chased the vehicle as it drove north through Carmel. After stop sticks were deployed by the Carmel Police Department, the sedan was "disabled" in the 500 block of East 146th Street.

The post read that two individuals inside the sedan, identified as Love and 27-year-old Michael Scott, were arrested at the scene. Money that was believed to be stolen from the Burger King location was reportedly recovered from the sedan.

After Love and Scott were placed under arrest, two Burger King employees were taken to the area where the car was stopped to identify the suspect. During the identification, Love reportedly tried to see in the vehicle where the two employees were and stated out loud: "You better not say s---, I'll kill you," according to court documents.
"Love then stated while walking to the (vehicle) that he didn't mean it cause he's a comedian," the documents read.
The two individuals face the following preliminary charges:
