Deputies warn of open water on Shawano Lake, 2 incidents within past 24 hours

WESCOTT, Wis. (WFRV) - Deputies in Shawano County are warning the public of worsening ice conditions on Shawano Lake after responding to two incidents within the past 24 hours.
A Facebook Post from the Shawano Sheriff's Office is asking the public to not use the Kellogg Landing access to Shawano Lake at Maders Circle.
Deputies say that barricades have been put up to mark this location as well, stating there is a "large, open water area roughly 75 yards offshore."

"We have had two incidents in this location in the past 24 hours and conditions are going to continue to worsen due to warm temperatures," deputies warned in the Facebook post.
