BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man and woman are facing charges in connection with a person who was found shot to death inside a vehicle in Ridgeville earlier this month. Alexis Dakota Davidson, 26, of Ridgeville was arrested last Friday and Timothy John Creel, 26, of Ridgeville was arrested Thursday on murder charges. Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area of Old Gilliard Road on January 8 to investigate a crash. Once there, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. That man, identified by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office as 36-year-old Jamal Edmonson of Walterboro, died at the scene. "The arrest of these two individuals is a reminder of our unwavering commitment to justice and public safety. Violence of this nature has no place in Berkeley County,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis stated. “Our detectives worked around the clock to ensure those responsible were held accountable." The case remains under investigation.
