ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Western New York will see a brief warm-up Friday and Saturday with temperatures topping out in the mid to upper 30s but it will not last for the Bills game. The start of the coldest air of the season will arrive Sunday.
Pregame/tailgating forecast
Heading to the game, Bills fans should expect relatively quiet but cold conditions. Temperatures will start in the low to mid-20s but fall throughout the day. Sunday will be a backwards day, where the high temperatures will occur right after midnight and fall throughout the day. Sunday's high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s, but the kickoff temperature will be closer to 17 degrees.
Winds will be light and not much of a factor, coming out of the northwest around 4-8 mph.

In-game forecast
As the Bills enter the stadium for the much-anticipated game, conditions, for the most part, will remain calm. The temperature at kickoff is expected to be about 17 degrees, with winds light out of the NW, around 4-8 mph. The temperatures will fall throughout the game, and by 10 p.m., Orchard Park will be around 13 degrees.
Isolated snow flurries to dusting throughout the game can't be ruled out, due to a weak lake effect snow band.

Postgame/drive home
Heading home after the game, temperatures will start to tail off into the lower teens. Winds will continue to be light out of the northwest, around 4-8 mph. Mostly cloudy skies will continue to be in place with scattered flurries, especially heading north of the stadium.
