AUSTIN (KXAN) — The City of New Orleans confirmed safety barriers protecting Bourbon Street were under construction, and not up, during the terror attack in the city's French Quarter that killed 14 and injured dozens of others. The safety issue parallels KXAN's Preventing Disaster investigation finding safety bollards could have prevented a deadly crash at an Austin hospital. This week on Inside the Investigations, KXAN Investigator Matt Grant explains the groundswell of support for safety bollards across the country.
