Three Chicago police officers were among five people hurt in a crash Thursday night in Morgan Park on the Far South Side. Around 9:20 p.m., the officers were in an unmarked patrol vehicle traveling with its lights and sirens activated in the 1500 block of 115th Street when they collided with a red SUV near the intersection of 115th Street and Ashland Avenue, police said. The three officers were taken to an area hospital where they were all in good condition, officials said. The driver of the SUV suffered an eye injury and a passenger sustained a leg injury, authorities said. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where they were in good condition. No citations were pending.
