WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Charlestown man found guilty in the hit and run death of a teenager will be sentenced Friday.
On New Year’s Day in 2022 Aramis Segura was speeding on I-95 when he hit 17-year-old Olivia Passaretti’s car, running her off the road.
Passaretti was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prosecutors say Segura was driving recklessly.
He left the scene of the crash and his girlfriend, Alicia Packham was found guilty of helping Segura hide after the deadly crash.
Segura pleaded no contest back in November to multiple charges, including driving to endanger, resulting in death.
He will be sentenced Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Kent County Superior Court.
His girlfriend, Packham will serve 10 months at the ACI for her role in the crash.
