Law enforcement looking for escaped inmate in North Carolina

TEACHEY, N.C. (WNCT) -- North Carolina law enforcement officers are looking for an inmate who left a work release Thursday night in Teachey in Duplin County.
They said Kevin Worsham, 44, is a 5-foot 10-inch, 180-pound male.
According to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, Worsham was in minimum custody at the Carteret Correctional Center. He has a criminal record dating back to 2004, including a past sex offense that requires him to register as a sex offender.
Worsham was currently serving a sentence for failure to report an address change to the sex offender registry, breaking and entering and larceny.
He was scheduled for release in December of 2025. Anyone who sees Worsham or knows his location is asked to call 911 or (252)-223-5100.
