FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Fire Department said that two people were transported to Rhode Island Hospital after a fire at an apartment building on Thursday.
Firefighters responded to Pleasant View around 9:15 to find the fire had been contained by the building’s sprinkler system.
A female and a minor sustained burns and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The department said a preliminary investigation found the fire was likely caused by blowing out a candle.
