(WAVY) — A two-vehicle crash on City Park Avenue in Portsmouth Thursday evening caused a power outage in that area after one of the vehicles struck a light pole, Portsmouth Police said. The crash happened around 6:48 p.m., and it resulted in about 544 Dominion Energy customers in Portsmouth who are without power as of 9:45 p.m., according to Dominion's outage map, with an estimated time of restoration between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Dominion crews at the scene are assessing the damage. A WAVY viewer captured a photo of the scene. There was no immediate word on whether there were any injuries resulting from the crash. Dominion Energy outage map as of 9:45 p.m. Thursday.
