FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A new grocery store could enter southeast Fort Wayne after the Fort Wayne Board of Zoning Appeals approved the rezoning of a medical clinic Thursday night. The old medical clinic located at 5717 S Anthony Boulevard, was approved to be used as neighborhood commercial land Thursday night with Sweet Asian LLC planning to transform the building into a grocery store. Alan Hofer, the attorney representing Sweet Asian LLC said the grocery store plans to offer fresh fruits, vegetables, dry goods and some meat products, with the exception of pork. The owners of the building now have six months to begin renovations on the building. No exact opening date was given but Hofer said the owners are "anxious to get back to it."
