Police investigating assault, robbery at a Bank of America in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Police are investigating an alleged assault and robbery that occurred at a Bank of America in Rock Hill on Thursday afternoon, according to the police department.
It happened around 4:41 p.m. at the Bank of America off Heckle Boulevard and South Herlong Avenue.
The victim told police she was leaving the bank after making a withdrawal when a black man wearing a black mask, grey top and black pants approached her. The man allegedly assaulted the woman before taking her money.
The suspect left the scene in a white Dodge Charger, driven by an accomplice, police said. The Charger had a hood scoop, a black spoiler, black rims and a license plate cover. It was last seen traveling north on I-77.
The incident remains under investigation.
