What We’re Tracking Another day of melting tomorrow Blast of cold by the weekend Dry week ahead Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s tonight under mostly clear skies. South winds, gusting up to 20 mph, will keep temperatures near average. Friday will bring plenty of sunshine and will be the last chance for moderate melting across the area with temperatures once again in the mid 40s by Friday afternoon. Another blast of cold air moves in by Saturday. We'll watch the frontal boundary as it drops into the area on Saturday. Right now, it looks like much of the area will stay dry as the front passes. After the front moves through, some very cold air arrives for Sunday and early next week. Topping off in the mid 20s for Saturday. Arctic cold air will settle in for Sunday and Monday, bringing highs in the teens and overnight lows dropping below zero. This will be some of the coldest air of the season. Minimum wind chills during the first half of the week are expected to range from -10 to -5 degrees. A slow warm up into the mid 30s by the end of next week. KSNT Storm Track Ashton Rizzo
