When Horace Heidt brought his traveling talent show, the “Original Youth Opportunity Program”, presented by Phillip Morris Cigarettes, to Syracuse in April 1948, Gustav Rautenberg’s classmates at Vocational High School made sure he, and his accordion, would be on it.
