SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Chicopee man faces multiple firearm charges after police were called to a disturbance outside a bar in Springfield early Thursday morning. In a news release from the Springfield Police Department, at around 1:50 a.m. officers were called to the 400 block of Belmont Avenue. When police arrived, they discovered two vehicles involved in a crash. A driver of one of the vehicles attempted to run away onto Burlington Street. Police identify woman’s body found in Springfield’s Forest Park Officers could see the individual was holding a firearm and was captured on the 300 block of Dickinson Street and disarmed. The firearm was loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition and reported stolen out of Vermont.
