Chicopee man arrested during disturbance outside bar on Belmont Ave in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Chicopee man faces multiple firearm charges after police were called to a disturbance outside a bar in Springfield early Thursday morning.
In a news release from the Springfield Police Department, at around 1:50 a.m. officers were called to the 400 block of Belmont Avenue. When police arrived, they discovered two vehicles involved in a crash. A driver of one of the vehicles attempted to run away onto Burlington Street.
Police identify woman’s body found in Springfield’s Forest Park
Officers could see the individual was holding a firearm and was captured on the 300 block of Dickinson Street and disarmed. The firearm was loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition and reported stolen out of Vermont.
The man was identified as 21-year-old Jeyver Pabon-Flores of Chicopee and is charged with the following:
Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card
Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
Receiving Stolen Property Less than $1200
Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Number Plate Violation to Conceal ID
Unregistered Motor Vehicle
Uninsured Motor Vehicle
