OKC MLK parade postponed until Feb 1

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The City of Oklahoma City announced on Thursday the OKC MLK Alliance has postponed the MLK Day Parade due to Monday’s expected freezing weather.
The new parade date is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday schedule for City of OKC services is below:
MLK Day (Monday, Jan. 20)
No trash or recycling pickup. Makeup day Wednesday, Jan. 22. Bulky waste pickup not affected.
Free fare for RAPID, OKC Streetcar, buses and OKC PLUS. OKC Streetcar and OKC Plus operate on a regular schedule. Buses operate on a weekend schedule. RAPID operates on a 30-minute frequency from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
EMBARK’S Transit Center Customer Service and 235-RIDE Call Center have reduced hours (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
EMBARK’S Mobility Management is closed.
