The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1100 block of Winchester Road.  On Thursday, January 16, 2025, around 11:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Winchester Road for unknown trouble. When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive female victim. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. During the investigation, it was determined that the victim had been shot.  The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the decedent.  At this time, detectives with the Personal Crimes Section are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information about this case to call Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
