LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead in the 1100 block of Winchester Road on Thursday morning. That’s at the Sportsmen Motel. Officers were sent to the area around 11:19 a.m. for a report of unknown trouble. When they got there, they found an unresponsive female victim. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office pronounced the woman deceased at the scene and determined she had been shot. The victim’s identity will be released by the coroner’s office.
