Both nominees are really critical departments that they will be heading so needless to say I had a lot of concerns about the nominees." Sen. Hirono said. On Wednesday Senator Hirono asked Pam Bondi, the nominee for US Attorney General, who won the 2020 Presidential Election. Bondi answered "Joe Biden is the president" but didn't directly answer the question. Hirono said. UH Manoa to host summit promoting Native Hawaiian learning "That's already disturbing in an office that requires fact-based decision-making. Former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard has been tabbed as Director of National Intelligence by the President-elect but has yet to secure a hearing date. "She's certainly going to be asked a lot of questions about whether she can run an agency that oversees 17 intelligence agencies," Sen. Hirono said. "I think there are serious questions about whether she has that kind of experience. She will appear before that intel committee to make her case. Along with a lot of the other Trump nominees, there are issues with their fitness to serve," Download the free KHON2 app for iOS or Android to stay informed on the latest news Senate confirmation hearings continue Friday morning with Kristi Noem, the nominee for Homeland Security Department.
