Menasha Police Department celebrating 23year career of hometown officer who is retiring

MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - The Menasha Police Department is celebrating the career of one of its officers who is retiring after more than two decades of serving the community.
Officer Chris Groeschel, who grew up in Menasha, started with Auxiliary Police in 1992 before working for the Fremont Police Department from 1999-2001. Then, he started his career as a patrol officer in Menasha.

In a Facebook post, the Menasha Police Department shared some photos from the station's celebration of his career, which included a poster with all of his police badges and emblems on it.

"His unwavering devotion to helping those facing mental health challenges has been an inspiration to all who know him," the Facebook post said. "Through his compassion, understanding, and tireless efforts, he has made a lasting impact on the lives of so many."
The post added a final thank you, and that Officer Groeschel's legacy will inspire the community and the department for years.
