LENA, Wis. (WFRV) - Deputies with the Oconto County Sheriff's Office have provided an update on the deadly UTV crash in the Town of Lena on Sunday, including the identity of the victim. According to the Oconto County Sheriff's Office, the victim of the January 12 crash has been identified as 49-year-old Lena resident Thomas Slatky. That Sunday, deputies responded around 2:50 p.m. for reports of a UTV crash on Goatsville Road to the east of Midway Road in Lena. First pediatric influenza-associated death of the season confirmed by Wisconsin DHS Deputies say Slatky was driving the UTV when he exited the roadway and overturned in a ditch. Slatky was reportedly ejected from the UTV during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. No additional information was provided.
