2 accused drug dealers arrested after investigation at Port Allen hotel

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two people were arrested after deputies in West Baton Rouge Parish found drugs in a hotel room.
According to the sheriff's office, Derwin Oubre, 36, of Plaquemine, and Latreeka Comeaux, 34, of Baton Rouge, were identified as suspects in a drug investigation.
WBRSO deputies started an investigation on Jan. 4 into a suspected drug operation from a rented room at the Audubon Inn in Port Allen. Deputies made controlled purchases of heroin from Comeaux, which led to her immediate arrest.
Deputies were granted a search warrant for the room, and Oubre was taken into custody. The following items were found:
275 grams of marijuana.
76 grams of methamphetamine.
5 grams of cocaine.
3.5 Xanax pills.
3 grams of heroin.
2 bottles of Quinine (cutting agent).
1 bottle of Inositol (cutting agent).
4 digital scales.
3 cell phones.
1 roll of cannabis RX prescription stickers.
boxes of plastic bags.
Oubre was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule I drug, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II drug, possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule III drug, possession of a Schedule I drug, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Comeaux was booked and charged with two counts of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II drug, possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule III drug and three counts of possession of a Schedule I drug.
