ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- Time flies, and Port City Brewing Company is celebrating its passage. The business posted on Facebook that it was "throwing a big party" to mark the brewery's 14th anniversary, noting that the celebration would include live music, new beer releases, and "all-around good vibes." Port City Brewing Company wins gold at World Beer Cup Bill and Karen Butcher founded Port City Brewing Company. Since then, the staple of the Virginia and D.C. area beer scene (which also ships to the broader Mid-Atlantic market) has been recognized with a number of awards. It offers year-round beers, as well as seasonal, occasional, and specialty beers. The 14th-anniversary celebration takes place at the brewery on Saturday, Feb. 1. from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Port City Brewing Company is located at 3950 Wheeler Ave., Alexandria.
