MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Police in Manhattan arrested a local woman in connection to a series of shootings that happened late last year. Ashley Tokoi with the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) announced in a press release that officers conducted a search warrant on Jan. 15 in the 2000 block of College Heights Road. This search warrant resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old Manhattan woman on multiple probable cause offenses. Tokoi said the woman's arrest is in connection to a series of shootings which occurred on the evening of Nov. 30, 2024 and the early morning hours of Dec. 1, 2024. The woman was arrests for the following: 10 counts of perjury. Endangering a child. Nine counts of violation of the offender registration act. Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. Possession of marijuana. Distribute or possess with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use. Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Possession or a controlled substance.
