BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — Crews are working to repair a water main break that may be impacting people in the Piedmont Triad. According to the city of Burlington, there is a water main break in the University Drive and Boone Station area of the city, so folks in Burlington as well as customers in Elon and Gibsonville may be experiencing periods of low water pressure while they work on repairs. City officials say the water is safe to drink, but reducing water usage at this time will help maintain water pressure. Crews are working to find the extent of the break and repair it as soon as possible. It is believed the cold weather contributed to the break.
