WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A pedestrian is suffering from life-threatening injuries as the result of a crash on Deacon Boulevard in Winston-Salem on Wednesday night, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. Investigators say that two men were trying to cross Deacon Boulevard on foot when they were struck by a vehicle traveling east in the left lane of the road. 1 person dead, 2 deputies hurt in Forsyth County crash One of the pedestrians was taken to a local hospital with "critical life-threatening injuries." The second pedestrian suffered minor injuries. Police say the driver remained at the scene and assisted police with the investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.
