SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- One of the world's most popular designer brands is closing its store in downtown San Francisco. The Michael Kors at the San Francisco Centre mall is "closing soon," according to a sign posted outside the store. "It's not goodbye. We've loved sharing the best with you at Michael Kors San Francisco," the sign read. "This store is closing soon, but we hope you'll visit us at (our Valley Fair location in Santa Clara)." Michael Kors, located at 845 Market St., is visible at the front of the mall's entrance on Market Street. It is a couple of doors down from the former Adidas store, which closed about a year ago. Two Walgreens stores set to close in Oakland A sign outside the Michael Kors store in downtown San Francisco this week. (KRON4 Photo). It is unclear when the San Francisco Michael Kors' final day is. KRON4 went to the store, and, as of this report, it is still open. According to Yelp, the Michael Kors store has reportedly been open since 2009. The next closest Michael Kors store is at the Livermore outlets. Other locations include Napa, Petaluma, San Jose, Santa Clara and Vacaville. KRON4 reached out to both Michael Kors and the SF Centre for comment about the closure. The inquiries, including follow-up emails, did not receive a response in time for publication.
