GARRETT COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) said that officials were investigating a large commercial fire in Garrett County in almost single-degree weather on Wednesday. Officials said that around 5:45 p.m., a fire was reported at Friends Stockyard on Stockyard Road. Basement fire breaks out, displacing 2 in Woodbridge Officials said that all lanes of US-219 were closed between Ryland Court and Interstate 68. The OSFM said that it would be an "extended operation." In an update made at 7:25 p.m., OSFM said that three cows had died. One firefighter had to be evaluated and treated on the scene for injuries. That firefighter was later released.
