Maryland State Police: Woman killed trying to cross street in Landover

LANDOVER, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Maryland State Police (MSP) said it is investigating a car crash that left a woman dead Wednesday.
MSP said its preliminary investigation revealed that around 11:45 a.m., 60-year-old Gwendolyn Mack was crossing the street at the Landover Road at McCormick intersection when a black Dodge Challenger hit her.
Montgomery County police investigating fraudulent scheme involving popular social commerce marketplace platform
The driver and one other person were in the Challenger and were not hurt. They both remained at the scene.
Mack was taken to the hospital where she later died.
The crash is still being investigated.
