Basement fire breaks out, displacing 2 in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (DC News Now) -- Two adults were displaced after a fire broke out in the basement of a townhome in Woodbridge Wednesday morning.
The Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue said firefighters responded to a townhouse located in the 4200 block of Devonwood Way after a resident reported smelling smoke.
There, crews found a fire in the basement of an adjoining townhome and it was quickly put out.

No one was inside the townhome at the time and no injuries were reported.
The fire damaged the home moderately and crews said it was not safe to live in, displacing two adults.
The fire did not spread to adjoining townhomes.
It was deemed an accident due to a small electrical appliance.
