FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said a man was shot after he tried to force his way into someone's home. FCPD said on Wednesday, just before 2:30 a.m., a man tried to force his way into a home in the 6400 block of Oakwood Drive near Lake Barcroft when he got shot. Basement fire breaks out, displacing 2 in Woodbridge FCPD said it received a call from the homeowner who reported a suspicious person. That man was taken to the hospital for treatment. The shooting is still under investigation.
