ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – If you've ever wondered who is flying around the woods at night, now is your chance to find out. The Genesee County Village and Museum will be hosting a wintertime night hike, giving folks an opportunity to experience the outdoors as owls do. If you're lucky enough, you might even see one too. Though, experts said it's not always a guarantee. "They're pretty shy, and to be honest, our tour groups out in the woods - we're not likely to see a wild owl. It does happen sometimes, but if we come around with a group of 25 people, they tend to steer clear," said Adam Henne, director of the Nature Center. ROC the Future Alliance to release annual student success report card Hikes will be held the following two Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Officials remind you to dress appropriately if you'll be out searching for owls, as the events will take place in rain, snow, or shine.
