STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — The Georgia Southern women's basketball team finished strong against Texas State at home on Jan. 15. The 69-62 win gave the Lady Eagles their second win in conference play. With the game tied at 55 with a little over eight minutes remaining, Georgia Southern closed out the game on a 14-7 run. Senior guard Nicole Gwynn, who played all 40 minutes, hit a key jumper close to the three-minute mark. Then Indya Green, who led all scorers with 22 points, hit a shot around the two-minute mark for the Eagles to put the game out of reach. Georgia Southern returns to action at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m.
