NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — With Carnival season in full swing, most of us are craving king cake on the daily, and there are so many variations of the popular carnival treat, but have you heard of the King Cake Donut Sundae?
Over time there's been an evolution of the king cake, and at Deanie's Seafood, they've got something new that will make your day.

"You know, it is a nice king cake donut from Baker's Dozen, and we add some Mardi Gras king cake ice cream and Buffalo Trace bourbon cream. What's a better combination than that," Chandra Chifici, Owner of Deanie's Seafood said.
Chifici got the idea for the carnival creation over the weekend.
"Try something new and it is always nice to have something a little different," she said.
And always, sharing is caring.

"This is Deanie's. We have big portions, we share here," Chifici said.
While the King Cake Sundae takes the spotlight, they're also selling a seasonal king cake martini.
"It is a wonderful way to celebrate Mardi Gras, now until March. It is a wonderful representation of the city," Chifici said.
