Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — We are learning of more arrests in connection with the of a murdered Richland County teenager. Wednesday the Richland County Sheriff’s Department arrested 17 year old Darius Walker and his mother, 41 year old Khadeidra Thomas. Authorities say both arrests are linked to the deadly shooting of a 15 year old on Quinton Lane on December 16, 2024. According to RCSD, while they were investigating the deadly shooting they say it was discovered that Walker hid the gun used in the murder. Following the release of Walker’s identity as a wanted suspect, his mother, Thomas, took him to the department’s headquarters where he turned himself in. As the investigation into the incident continued, deputies determined Thomas previously lied to officials to conceal where her son was and also claim she helped her son evade authorities. As a result, the Sheriff’s Department has charged both individuals. Investigators say Walker has been charged with Accessory after the Fact of a Felony. His mother, Thomas has been charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Obstruction of Justice. The mother and son duo are currently being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Sheriff Leon Lott says the department will “continue to hold parents accountable when they choose to condone or participate in their child’s criminal activity.”   Categories: Local News, News, Richland
